The Tale of A Spider

I’ve never really been one to put myself fully online for fear of backlash. Sounds about right these days, yeah?

But here I am… year 2 in business… redefining the ways in which I “show up”.

Now, lately I’ve been getting more in tune with my spirituality, and let’s just say I’ve asked God / the Universe (whichever floats your boat) for a sign.

I get out of my shower, one where I happened to have epiphany after epiphany, to find a single transparent spider hanging from my ceiling. And as blind as I am without my glasses, I’m shocked that it caught my attention without much effort!

Now here I ask,

“Is this a sign?”…

So I turn to symbology, and what do I find?

Spiders represent creativity, patience, and the ability to weave one’s own destiny. They are delicate yet powerful, working with both precision and instinct. But more than that, they embody a balance of energies—both feminine and masculine.

In many cultures, the spider is linked to feminine power, intuition, and the unseen forces that shape our lives. It’s a master weaver, not just of webs but of its entire existence. And that got me thinking—what does that mean for me in business?

For the longest time, I’ve leaned heavily into the masculine side of entrepreneurship: structure, action, strategy. But what about the feminine side—the flow, the trust, the ability to attract rather than chase? What if success isn’t just about building but also about allowing things to unfold?

So maybe this translucent spider—the thing I could somehow see despite my poor vision—is a reminder. A nudge to lean into both energies. To trust my intuition more. To create with intention but also let things take shape naturally.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s telling me that showing up—fully, transparently—is the next step in my journey.

So here I am.
